Vat jou goed en trek Ferreira (RIP Annie Molony van Aardt)
After hearing mention of "Vat jou goed en trek Ferreira" on a facebook post – I wondered if the origin of Ferreira vis-a-vis Afrikaners as Ferreira is in fact a Portuguese name.
"Vat jou goed en trek Ferreira" means what ... or was there some other meaning to this song (as explained on LitNet)?
I guess he is contaminated by inferior Portuguese med/mulatto genes, as are the many thousands of Afrikaners with the common Afrikaans surname "Ferreira" (Portuguese influences – culture and language in South Africa).
Mev Annie Molony was die skryfster van “Vat jou goed en trek, Ferreira” circa: 1926 referring to an impending Sand Storm – I think ... or was it the dust that was drummed up from excessive dancing which left one or more people dead?
I (a soutie) was attacked – for infusing "race" into the discussion ... hmmm ... and called a "dom donner" and "Dikkop" ... or ... this person merely displaying decades of "guilt" ... using me as a convenient scapegoat ... hmmm ...
Some people just try to read too much into casual bantering on a (multicultural) South African forum ... sigh ...
