 Mandlakazi grew up in PE (Uitenhage), and developed a talent for writing which quickly took the form of the spoken word. She has been writing since junior high school and over the years the influences of her poetry have varied from culture, politics, and personal experiences. When she moved to Stellenbosch 4 years ago it took the form of praise and worship. She is very excited to see what challenges this competition will bring. She is an awesome person with a great personality, bubbly and sparkly. When she is not writing poetry, she studies fashion design.
