KL Bohle is the author of the short story “My name is” in the 2023 Short.Sharp.Stories anthology, Fluid. Born into a family of readers and writers, Kirsten has devoured stories since the beginning. This is her first time putting a story of her own out into the world. She lives in Sea Point, and spends her time working and studying and generally just trying her best. She is often found out on the promenade or up the mountain, and equally often at home on the couch. She writes of her story, “My name is”:
I had a dream one night; I was at an event of some sort, and everyone was dressed beautifully. And in the crowd was a small child who didn’t seem to belong to anyone, and who was borrowing names from people in the crowd. That dream became this story.
