Jameson Maluleke

MJ (Jameson) Maluleke is a writer/journalist and linguist born and bred in Pfukane Mission Station in Limpopo province more than half a century ago.

Having obtained a first class pass in his JC (Junior Certificate of Education) exams, he slogged on until the University of South Africa awarded him the JMB (Joint Matriculation Board) certificate and two senior degrees in Literary Theory and Sociolinguistics.

Having been involved in almost all facets of communication and media for more than 10 years, that is, mainly in writing (literature), journalism, linguistics, culture and socio-political development in our country, he can communicate in almost six of the nine South African languages.

An avid reader, Jameson counts Critical Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Language and Culture, Language and Ideologies, Rhetoric, Stylistics, General Literature and Social Activism as his best pastime.

He is married to a lady teacher, Josephine Xihlamariso, and is blessed with four daughters.
