Carole Blake
Carole Blake founded her agency in 1977 after 14 years of working for publishing houses, finally as marketing director of a mass market paperback publisher. She is past president of the Association of Authors' Agents and The Book Trade Charity: BTBS; past chairman of the Society of Bookmen; member of advisory boards for postgraduate publishing studies courses at City University and UCLA; associate vice-president of the Romantic Novelists’ Association; and patron of the Chipping Norton Literary Festival. Carole is the author of From pitch to publication (Macmillan), which has been reprinted 17 times, and winner of the Pandora Award 2013 for her “significant and sustained contribution to the publishing industry”.
