The prestigious Sunday Times Literary Awards shortlist was announced on the 12th of May in Franschhoek. Six books made the shortlist for the 23rd Alan Paton Award for non-fiction, and five made the cut for the Sunday Times Fiction Prize for creative writing, which is now in its 12th year.
