Zolani Kupe
Zolani Kupe was born in the Eastern Cape Province in the mid seventies. He studied in some of the Western Cape Universities’. He now works at UCT as an Assistant Researcher. He has won a few number of poetry competitions, including a second prize in the Impress Writer’s competition at the University of Stellenbosch, a first prize in the search for a talent mini poetry competition at UWC and a certificate in Outstanding Performance in literature in Butterworth (formerly the South Eastern region). In addition to that he has had his poetry published in some of the prestigious national & International poetry journals, like-Litnet, Oxford University Press, Hekima Review, New Coin and Kotaz. He is currently involved in a literacy project in Langa one of the old townships in Cape Town. He studied in some of the Western Cape Universities and has specialized in Languages and Creative Writing. He now works at UCT as an Assistant Researcher.
