Louis started his career in the bus transport industry in 1977. He has held various positions in the bus industry until he started his own consulting business in 1996. He and two former colleagues then established LearnCorp (Pty) Ltd in 2003. LearnCorp plays a key role in the empowerment of people in the bus and other industries
Louis obtained his doctoral in Transport Economics in 1999 at the University of Johannesburg under the leadership of Prof Jackie Walters. His research focused on the restructuring of the commuter bus industry based on international benchmarks. He also acts as external examiner for Master’s and Doctoral Students in Transport and Supply Chain Management at the University of Johannesburg.
He joined the company Shared Services Investment (Pty) Ltd in October 2011 where he holds the position of Executive Consultant.
