Cynthia Jele

Cynthia Jele is a thirty-something-year-old South African-born writer. She grew up near a small border town in Mpumalanga. Her claim to fame was winning 1st and 4th prizes in the 2008 BTA/Anglo-Platinum Short Story Competition. She studied in South Africa and the USA and lives a quiet life in the northern suburbs of Jo’burg. Happiness is a Four-letter Word is Jele’s debut novel.
