Al Lovejoy is an ex-international organized crime boss who is currently not power walking at the bottom of the ocean in cement shoes or staring at the business end of tasteful, yet fashionably frugal accommodations of any number of foreign governments' federal facilities. In lieu of resurrection or the abberant Houdini gene, Al has reinvented himself as a writer, a children's activist and now a fine arts photographer with work on display in London. His first literary work, the international bestseller and autobiography, Acid Alex, was nominated for the Alan Paton Award for non-fiction and shortlisted for the Bookseller's Award in 2005. He is currently married and the couple are expecting their first baby boy. He owns and runs a photographic business with his wife Natasha in the beautiful little town of Stellenbosch.
