How do you feel about the fact that Niskerone & SFR recorded your song?

I was really excited to find out that I was one of the winners, but when I heard it was Niskerone & SFR I was even more hysterical … lol – in  good way. 

Why do you think your entry stood out?

Wow! I’m not really sure why my entry stood out, but I am really humbled to be a part of this competition and I hope that Sanlam and LitNet continue to create platforms such as this for up-and-coming writers.

What is the song about?

The song tells the story of a relationship that isn’t living up to its potential and, well, if it was it could be magical.

Where and how did you write the song?

I wrote the song while I was in a jamming session with a couple of friends

What should Niskerone & SFR keep in mind when recording this song?

Music isn’t just something I listen to or write, but something I feel, and writing is just an instrument I use to express those feelings, and from what I can gather Niskerone & SFR make people lose themselves in the music, so I know “Magic” is in very capable hands.
